WHAT YOU MIGHT BE ASKING YOURSELF… 🤔

Are you insured?

YES! We are licensed and insured.

What areas do you provide services?

While we service primarily Galveston County, Harris County, and the surrounding area, we are open to areas outside of that as well.

Estate Sale vs Garage Sale?

Estate Sale will include ALL or almost ALL contents of the home, condo or property. Garage Sale would be only a small portion of unwanted items for only a few hundred bucks.

Does my family maintain access to the home?

You and your family will have access to the contents of the home BEFORE a staging date is set.  We encourage you to use this time to discover family heirlooms or keepsakes that may have been missed during your initial pass through.

Once the staging process has started, we find it easier to serve you as a client through this sometimes emotional transition by maintaining a policy of  “No Access” until the Estate Sale is completed.

Can I or any member of my family still be living in the home?

The short answer is, NO. We will need to utilize every inch of space to stage your sale properly and get the most value for your items possible. 😀

After the Estate Sale is my home completely empty?

This is an area where you will have (3) options to choose what is best for you and your family. Trash removal service and donation services will be offered.

What is the process for items I want to keep?

Any items selected by family members to be kept (not for SALE) will need to be removed from the property prior to the staging process.

What can be sold at an Estate Sale?

Everything except alcohol in our great state of TEXAS! 🇨🇱🤠

What if I don’t have enough items for an Estate Sale?

This is a case by case determination by management upon a site visit.  Percentage of sale  proceeds are variable.

How do we stop the THIEVES????

For high price ticket items, we place them in a strategic location that is harder to access and requires a staff member to handle the item for the potential buyer.

In some instances, there will additional security hired at the homeowner’s expense. HG Estates Sales will not be held liable for theft of contents.  Professional trained staff members will be on-site throughout the sale.

How much is it worth?

Our team utilizes our collective knowledge of current market prices for anything from antiques to modern collectibles and everything in between. However, there are items that may only be worth what people are willing to pay.

It is always to the client’s and HG’s advantage to get the highest value possible. That is our goal! $$$

How does Estate Sale pricing work?

The challenge of estate sale pricing is based on “fair current market value”.  Sometimes this may be less than what you would pay for the same item “new” in a store or online.  It is also highly dependent on the demographics of where the sale is being held.  REMEMBER these are impulse BUYERS!

How long does it take to stage a sale?......  That means setup 🏡

Typically, a staging takes 4-7 days.  This will be discussed and determined at the site visit.

How quickly can I have my Estate Sale?

Depending on previously scheduled sales, this could anywhere from 1-3 months in advance.

Plan a week for staging, a strategically planned date for a Fri/Sat sale with a preview night on the Thursday before for HG+ members, followed by a week for final cleanup.

Where’s my check and how do I know my sale was successful?

Once any extra expenses have been accounted for and receipts for donations collected for your records, a check will be sent with a detailed report outlining transactions and total gross sales.  This process usually takes 2-3 weeks.

A successful sale means your property is now ready for new occupants!
